BMS Introduces BristolConstructionCam.com to Give the World a Look at Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol Stadium Transformation

August 29, 2016 -- With under three weeks remaining until the Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol, construction action is in full swing and Bristol Motor Speedway is adding a virtual eye for fans across the globe to see a behind-the-scenes view of the transformation from iconic NASCAR short-track to football stadium for the world’s biggest-ever game.

To allow fans premium insider access into the construction process, BMS has partnered with EarthCam, the best in the world at real-time camera and live feed, to create www.BristolConstructionCam.com. EarthCam has offered livestream and advanced camera technologies to some of the largest organizations, events, and landmarks in the world, including NFL stadiums, the Seattle Space Needle, the London Eye, and Times Square.

“For the biggest game in college football history, we knew we needed to do something big for our fans,” said Jerry Caldwell, executive vice president and general manager at Bristol Motor Speedway. “We know that our guests are incredibly passionate about and excited for this game and that they want exclusive access to every aspect of it. Through the Construction Cam, we are allowing fans to witness one of the greatest technology feats in sports – turning the Speedway into a football field in just three short weeks – in the most advanced and precise way possible.”

Through the partnership with EarthCam, BMS will offer fans a true 360-degree experience of the transformation of the Speedway into a football field.  Viewers will have the opportunity to choose from four different views and angles, witness a panoramic vista of the venue, and zoom in for close views of the action. BristolConstructionCam.com will also offer archival images and will allow fans to rewind from the camera to earlier moments in the construction.  Further, BMS, throughout the course of the next three weeks, will release several milestone time-lapse videos to mark key moments in the field construction leading up to the game. At the conclusion of the construction, a final, full time lapse video will be made available.

“We were honored to get the green light from Bristol Motor Speedway to stream live video of field construction for this massive event,” said Brian Cury, CEO and founder of EarthCam. “We’re featuring our newest innovative 4K technology to give their fans unique behind-the-scenes access to the excitement leading up to this historic football game.”

Construction began following the conclusion of the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event.
