Celebrate the Arrival of the New Year with EarthCam's Live Global Webcast

December 28, 2018 -- Join EarthCam for its annual international New Year’s Eve webcast on December 31 at 10:00am EST. Get the party started in Tokyo, then it’s off to the island of Boracay in the Philippines, followed by fireworks and celebrations in exciting locations including Dubai, Budapest, Prague and Dublin.

Times Square celebrations are an all-day affair, and EarthCam is taking viewers there with live broadcast-quality streaming video cameras positioned in and around Times Square, including EarthCam’s recently upgraded 4K Crossroads Cam. Real-time high-resolution panoramas provide a pricey balcony perspective of Times Square’s festivities, free from the cold and rainy weather predicted this year. Combined with EarthCam’s Times Square Special, a programmed lineup of the best views of the celebrations, viewers will feel like they’re actually there in the center of it all.

A new addition this year, with EarthCam’s skill for Amazon Echo Show, viewers can ask Alexa to “show me New Year’s Eve” and will instantly be presented with live views of the celebrations in Times Square and other entertaining destinations.

Even after the ball has dropped, the one million people have cleared the city streets and the TV cameras have gone dark, EarthCam will be there to deliver behind-the-scenes views of the massive effort that goes into the post-party cleanup. Viewers have long been amazed by the choreographed operation by hundreds of sanitation workers as they tackle the tons of confetti and debris blanketing the city streets.

As the evening continues, be a part of the non-stop fun in Chicago, Nashville, Los Angeles, Kauai and more. Joining the live webcast schedule this year are new cameras in Thailand, Denver and Lake Tahoe, which will add to the already extraordinary lineup of global locations.

Ring in 2019 with EarthCam’s webcast on https://newyears.earthcam.com/ and EarthCamTV at www.earthcamtv.com. Make the webcast a part of your party with EarthCamTV apps available for Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. Spending the night away from a computer? Download EarthCam’s Webcams app for iOS and Android and party on the go! EarthCam will also be live streaming on its Facebook and YouTube pages.
