If you are using MS Internet Explorer and you see this message where a camera image should be, then you will need to change your security settings to allow ActiveX controls.
Step 1:
In Internet Explorer, go to the Tools Menu and Select Internet Options.
Step 2:
In the options window select the tab at the top named Security.
Step 3:
In the security options there is a slider under the text "Security level for this zone".
If that slider is set on High, move it down to Medium or Medium-low, then Click OK.
Step 4:
Go back to the camera control page that gave you the error message
Hold down the CTRL Key on your keyboard and click on your browser's Refresh Button.
You will see a yellow information bar appear near the top of the screen telling you that the
site may require an ActiveX Control. Click on that bar and choose Install ActiveX Control...
Step 5:
You will then be prompted to install the ActiveX control. Choose More options.
Step 6:
Choose Always install software to allow installation. This will ensure that you stop
receiving this prompt when you try to view other cameras. This will install the required ActiveX Control and
start the video feed of the camera.
