See How the World Celebrates New Year's Eve with EarthCam Live Streams

Real-time views of modified celebrations around the globe

December 29, 2021 -- For 25 years, webcam technology experts, EarthCam have broadcast New Year’s celebrations from their extensive global network of cameras. Since 1996, when EarthCam installed its first camera in Times Square, their webcams have been a fascinating way to experience the festivities in real-time. Viewers can make the webcasts a part of their celebrations with the EarthCamTV app, available for Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and this year for Apple TV.

Starting in New Zealand at 6:00 am EST on December 31st, viewers can travel to more than 50 locations. International highlights include Thailand, Dubai, Mauritius, Moscow, Amsterdam, Dublin and Rio de Janeiro. EarthCam will also broadcast a New Year’s message from orbit - courtesy of NASA - featuring crew members aboard the International Space Station at 5:30pm EST on New Year’s Eve.

In Times Square, Manhattan - as the festivities continue - EarthCam will offer an up-close look as New Yorkers ring in the New Year. Though there may be fewer revelers than originally planned, EarthCam will feature more unique vantage points than ever, using EarthCam’s latest 4K live-streaming webcams to capture this iconic event.

Throughout 2021 EarthCam has introduced key new technologies and software for live-streaming and time-lapse video production, including the world’s highest resolution robotic webcam. These innovations will help deliver unique immersive ways to experience the New Year celebrations. As the clock strikes midnight across the US, EarthCam will live stream firework celebrations in major cities. Notable locations include Miami, Chicago, Kansas City, Dallas, Bourbon St. in New Orleans, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle, culminating with the celebration in Waikoloa, Hawaii.

EarthCam is also partnering with Jamestown to showcase its webcam content on the VNYE Virtual Times Square app hosted by One Times Square, home of the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop celebration. Visit VNYE.com to explore Times Square virtually in the “Times Square Metaverse”.

Visit earthcam.com/NewYearsEve to enjoy the worldwide celebrations. Or if you’re on the move, use EarthCam’s Webcams app for Apple and Android. EarthCam will also be live streaming on its Facebook and YouTube pages.
