EarthCam Celebrates 29 Years of Innovation in Live Streaming and AI Technology

August 29, 2025 -- EarthCam, the global leader in live camera technology, content, and services, is celebrating 29 years of visual innovation and excellence. Over the past year, EarthCam has continued to push boundaries in groundbreaking live-streaming video. New solutions were introduced in 2025 to meet customers’ evolving needs for construction jobsite visual intelligence, safety and security.

EarthCam expanded its live-streaming content for tourism and entertainment, launching new cameras in many significant locations around the world, from the rooftops of Manhattan’s concrete jungle to the treetops of the Amazon Rainforest. New additions include Grand Cayman IslandBali and Botswana, bringing viewers closer to extraordinary environments. Dozens of other new perspectives expand the choice of immersive, live experiences for millions of viewers worldwide.

Media engagement soared this year. EarthCam content was featured by Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, The Weather Channel and many other prominent international news outlets, reaching an audience of 1.2 billion viewers. EarthCam delivered breaking news coverage of the Potomac midair helicopter collision with a passenger jet, New Orleans law enforcement’s response to the terror attack in January, and California wildfires. EarthCam also successfully installed voter integrity cameras to promote transparency during the 2024 presidential elections. It also united global audiences for cultural moments—from New Year’s Eve, Mardi Gras, and St. Patrick’s Day to Budapest’s founding celebration, and Fourth of July across the U.S.

EarthCam reaffirmed its leadership in construction time-lapse, camera technology and software with the launch of Control Center 9, its fastest and most advanced platform yet for jobsite monitoring, documentation and security. The new software performs 75% faster and introduces Pano VI (panoramic visual intelligence) for AI-driven insights from 360° imagery. A new Jobsite Health app premiered this year that translates AI metrics and visual data into a smart dashboard, showing Readiness, Activity and Stress, and helping teams to manage resources, improve safety and respond quickly to changing site conditions. These innovations captured industry-wide attention and were featured in Engineering News-RecordConstruction Dive and For Construction Pros.
